In tennis, how do you beat a pusher that you're better than?

Who is America's number 1 tennis player?
Pushers are notorious for being average to below-average at the net. I would recommend learning either a consistent dropshot or a short backhand slice like Federer uses. This way, they are out of position to play their favored baseline game. Then, you have to become proficient on hitting passing shots which probably won't have to be excellent. You don't have to hit smoking winners against a pusher at net. Just keep it low (or very high, as in a lob).Your other option is to bully them around and get into the net as soon as the opportunity arises and as quickly as you can. Then you are in total control. The overarching theme is to use the netgame to your advantage and their disadvantage.

Somehow, I don't understand you're question. If the pusher is winning, he's better than you. If you win, you're better than him. You might feel superior, but the guy winning is the better player. If he can keep running longer than you can keep hitting, you have to go for the lines and do the unconventional shots and try and catch him on the wrong foot. Mask your shots; try and make him start running one direction and the hit the ball the opposite direction. Drop shots and lobs as already suggested are probably a very good idea as well.
