Help with tennis backhand.. please..?
I'm pretty strong with my shots.. I'm just wondering if thers a way to get power and accuracy with my backhand?

it's not enough to have a good backhand -- to be a player you've got to have one that is solid and capable of putting a ball away when you have an opening.a solid bh comes from coordinating the whole body into the shot. you've got to find your strike zone (like a batter, the height of the ball where you can hit the best) & use your footwork to get yourself in position to hit from there as often as you can.
and most players don't bend the knees enough. for a solid shot, you have to get yourself below the level of the ball. work on your thighs & flexibilty. that will pay off in the long run.

hitting the ball with topspin is the key. i don't know if you do or not already, but generally the more topspin you put on the ball, the more consistency and accuracy you will have. its difficult to say what can give you more power and accuracy without sacrificing one or the other, but good technique (footwork, meet area, positioning, strategy, etc.) is the key. if your shots are powerful, then adding more topspin will definitely help with your accuracyWhy does the media " GLORIFIES " Maria Sharapova ?
Well If you have a two hander, I think the best tthing you can do is definately use your left hand to guide the racket through the shot. If you try to use mainy your right hand you will not get power on it.J. Henin-Hardenne Australian open 2007?

Make sure you keep your racket closed to the ground. Also, make sure that you are doing one single motion. Pretent you are a vertical helicopter. when you hit your back hand make sure to keep your arms straight through out the whole stroke. also make sure that you are hitting under the ball. that should help.Who's hotter? Maria Sharapova or Anna Kournikova?
