Really Important Question?

Okay I am in a tennis camp at the club that I belong to. This is the 3rd camp I've done at this club. When the instructor is handing out the court assignments, I always get put on the "little kid" court with the 7-year-olds who chew on their tennis racquet. As I said, this is the third camp I've done, and the third time I've been on the bad court. I am the best on my court, and I feel as if I am not gettinbg a challenge at all. I really am better than this, I know I am because I can beat three of the people on the older kid court. The problem is, I am kind of shy and I don't want to seem like weird if I ask the instructor to move me up. What should I do?

Listen buddy...somebody great said,"If you don't ask, you don't get." Now if you don't tell your coach that you'll like to move up, what's the fault in that? If you don't ask him, he'll think that you are happy facing your juniors. 9 times out of ten he'll know that you are a good player, he just might be waiting for you to say that you'll like to play with seniors. So, gather up your courage and ask him if he could help. No point being shy man...

Demand to be moved. If you are ready - then your instructor should have already moved you up. If the instructor will not move you up - he should at least qualify his decision.

You should tell them. Which would rather do? Suffer the butterflies in your stomach for a few minutes while asking to be transferred or suffer every trip to the tennis court because you have to play with players that you are obviously superior to. Its your call.

Before he has even handed out the assignments, go directly to the court YOU want. If he hasn't realized it already, which for some strange reason it seems he has not, he WILL notice your opinion on the assignments. Sometimes you just have to say " what the f***"!

The pain of discipline is less than the pain of regret. Meaning that by not moving up, you are only hurting your game. You may move of, be dominant, and then regret in the future that you didn't move of sooner. Make the move now and then make progress in tennis kid!
