In indoor volleyball who or rather what position is the person with the off colored jersey on each team?

When you over hand serve in volleyball and you put one foot more in front and..?
Libero and like everyone else said it is a specialized, back row only position. They are allowed to come in for any player, at almost any time as long as it is the back row. They are not allowed to attack a ball over the height of the net and they are not allowed to overhand set a ball inside the 10' line if it is attacked above the net height. However in college, JO, national team, etc. they are allowed to serve. And for the first year in some states, they are allowed to serve in high school as well (I know that New Hampshire is one of 5 experimental states that allow the Libero to serve this coming season).
They wear the different color jersey to help the referee and score keeper identify them easily because of their liberal substitute rule and odd rules they must follow.
I hope this helps.
If i'm around 5'3 and in the eighth grade will i get any taller?
LiberosDo girls like to play vollyball alot?
The libero...it's a special defensive player. They never serve and cannot make an aggressive (attacking) hit...also they must line up in the back court.I feel like I have lost my touch in volleyball... advice, plz?
its the libero! theyre the digger, defensive player, never serve and you dont have to sub in...greatest position EVER!!What muscles do you work when you play volleyball?
Libero. They are the back row player for 2 people, so they're only off the court while the front row player that has come to the back serves and goes back in for that person when they lose the serve.ex.: You are a coach. You have 2 middle hitters that aren't the best back row players, but you don't want to use up your subsitutions for those 2 people unless you have to. The solution? you have a Libero play their back row! It doesn't use any of your subsitutions!
