Depends on what type you are playing. if you are playing on a team. usually 6 or 7. sometimes there's 1 on 1 then in California.. mostly they play 3 on 3. So it really depends on how you play!well it doesnt matter, but there are or 6 people playing at once

There are normally just a Varsity and a Jumior Varsity part for each team. There are 6 people in each. There can also be 2 or 3 substitutes for the team. If there is a tall player, that person can play only front row, and when he/she goes back to the serve position, they can switch with a certain sub that plays only the back row. The subs are only subs for certain players. Altogether, not including the 2 or 3 managers that help out the referee and the scoring, there are anywhere between the numbers of 12 and 18 people for the team.How can i become a better server?

You can have as many girls on the team as you like. The problem is that it is hard to play every girl in a game because you can only play 6 at a time. When you keep more, some players don't feel like they've played a lot. I think keeping 10-13 is good, so you can play everyone and have a sub incase someone needs out.
