Please help! :)?


This kind of like my other question about volleyball. So basically my intermeral team has our playoffs tommorow, and our team's really good, except for me. I've been trying really hard and practiced all weekend and didn't do very bad. Then today we had a game and the only reason we lost was because I couldn't play very well. I mostly have trouble with setting- I'm fine if the ball is coming straight down, but whenever it's at a different angle I mess up. Normally my bumps are ok, but today they were going everywhere I can't figure out why. I really want to play tommorow, but I don't want to let my team down. Does anyone have any advice? Please help! Thank you!

Well first of all you really need to have more confidence. Your on a volleybal TEAM. You may have had a bad game but the cause of yall losing was not entirely your fault. Volleyball is definetly a physical sport but it is way more mental. If you tell yourself you will have a bad game then you will get so nervous and caught up in that thought pattern that it will cause you to mess up. The only way you could let your team down is by just having a bad attitude from feeling that you are playing bad and keeping your energy low. Relax girl. Volleyball is fun. Just play YOUR game ok.

well... with your bumping you should try to square your shoulders to the direction you want to hit and keep and steady arm. also, don't swing your ams, use your legs as leverage (if you play basketball, do as you would if you were shooting a foul shot). if you have trouble setting when it's not coming straight down, try moving your body to an advantage point or if you really can't, wait for it to come down and bump it.

About Volleyball . . . some help please!?

volleyball is a team effort that means that u could no t hav messed up the game + with a little more practice ( try all different ways 2 hit the ball in all directions) and more relaxsation u should get better learn from your mistakes dont just put yourself down
And remember the most imortant thing is 2 hav some fun

When you want to control your bumps all you have to do is square your shoulders off to the direction that you are trying to get the ball to go to. Also, don't swing your arms. Remember, when you bump, you should be bending your knees. And don't be afraid to move around. Don't just stand in one place, get low and get ready to dive if necessary. And for setting, have someone throw you a lot of random balls to set. (from all different angles) Once you have enough practice you'll get better. And I'm sure it wasn't just your fault that the team lost. Volleyball can't be played with just one person. It's a team effort.
