I need 10 facts about volleyball?
Some good passing drills would to have groups of 3 girls: 1 girl is on the other side of the net (tosser) one at the net (target) and one back passing. The tosser should toss the ball to the passer, trying to move her around. If this is too complicated for the girls then just have the girls in groups of 2, 1 tosses, 1 passes and they switch after 20. Try havign them toss behind the girl, short, and side to side to get the passer moving.A blocking and approach drill that I enjoy is called Cat and Mouse. Split the team in two and have one side the mouse (attacker) and the other side the Cat (blocker). The mice do three approaches down the net, making sure they get off the net and come back to the ten foot line every time. The cats follow them and block making sure they line up their bodies with the attackers shoulder. there is no ball involved in this, it's just practicing the basics of both skills.
Attacking drill: Have groups of 3. 2 girls are on chairs up against the net with a cart of balls. the girls hold the ball up at above the plane of the net and the other girl approaches and attacks, this is really good practice.
Serving: Split the team up on two sides of the court. 2 girls go at the same time and have to serve 8 times around the court. If they miss the team has to do a sprint.
Fun Serving Drill: (Around the World) Split team up into 2 teams. 1 girl from each team must sit them selves on the other side of the court in the 1 spot as their team serves to them they have to catch it. If your serve is caught you advance to the next spot (1-2, 2-3, etc.)Which ever team gets back to the zone 1 first wins!
Hope these help... there's also many websites with lots of drills on them... just use the search engine to find them.
Have them run line drills . Put them in a line one after another, throw the ball from side to side on the ciurt and blow the wistle as u thro it to signal them to run and get it. also have them lay on their stomachs not facing the net and to the smae thing it really helped me when i played on a team for the first time in seventh grade now im mvp on jvbut only a freshman. Oh have a big sleepover for all tyour girls and get them even more bonded as a team
