Opinion please.I was cut from volleyball tryouts due to my height. What do you think?
I tried out for the high school freshman team and they cut me only cause im 5'4" compared to the average height of about 5'9". Many of the other players aremt as good as I am and yet they made the team! I had a killer serve and I was ont of the very best. What do you think?

Will anyone ever be better than Walsh and May-Treanor?
I can sympathize. I am 5'6" and had a great serve. I've played in various leagues and over 11 years (about 60 leagues) won about ten championships with a teammate who was only 5'2". Don't be discouraged, there are plenty of places to play. One of my regrets was that I rediscovered the game at 33 yrs old. What you may have to do is play pick up games at a gym first, find where the leagues are and put a team together with the people you like at the gym. If you are ever a captain of a team, only pick people you like playing with.i think u might need to try harder and try out next year
What are the specific rotations for 6-2 serve- receive and serve- side?
Here is something to keep in mind. Michael Jordon was cut from his high school basketball team. He kept trying harder and harder. I think he did okay for himself.Don't get down on yourself, and if you love it that much, just keep working. This is America. If you try hard enough, you can do it.
Anyone ever find studies about anthropometry measurement of volleyball player?
i think that if you were never given a physical tryout and they just said stand in line from short to tall and the short end can go home then it would be descrimination against you and advise for a lawyer. but the coaches know what they are looking for and try harder next year. Are there any junior olympic volleyball players out there?
With all due respect, I can pretty much guarantee that you were not cut due to your height. I played major college vb and on the beach tour and saw all sorts of body builds that were successful. More particularly, it is my opinion that if I had 6 girls under 5' 6" who could all serve and pass like a pro (relatively speaking) but could not jump worth a whit, that team could many times win state champioships in many states. It wouldn't be exciting but it would work. I've had this exact conversation with hs coaches and they pretty much agree.Regarding your situation, time to be more realistic. Any freshman that can consistently serve, pass and set will start on just about any hs team. Your height is not an issue. More than likely it is skills, speed and body control. With those attributes and a normal hs career, you will be recruited and play in college also. Good luck!
I need help serving...what are the easiest steps or role plays on how to do it correctly?
I'm the shortest person on my volleyball team. Height helps, but it shouldn't be a factor as long as you have good skills.Jeltsin Cup volleyball (women)?

I dont understand, your height should have nothing to do with it. You can be a backrow player and/or serve.
