Once you have reached varsity level of overhand serving do uthink its time to jump serve?

Answers:

Any fun volleyball-type games?

thats one option. Another is to perfect your overhand and learn variations of the overhand. Learning how to get your overhand to "float" can offer variety as a digger has to change their approach to control on the return.

You could also work on perfecting your placement of you overhand. Knowing how much strength to put in your serve to place the ball in the different positions is great especially if there is a noticed weaker player on the opposing team. A great way to practice placement is to set up 6 Hula-hoops, one in each position, and try to serve the ball into the middle of the hoop.

GIRLS ONLY! girls if we were in a "no rules" fight with a guy whats the best way to distract him then beat him

I am starting a volley ball team but I need help with a name?

Where is the volleyball hall of fame located?

sure, but make sure you are 100% consistent with your regular, overhand serve.

Help w/ underhand serve?

To be honest, jump serve is much easier to pick up than a good floater. Now, if you can do a jump floater than its really good. I always choose placement over power. My serves are never top spin and never full power. 75% of the time no one know where its going and no one knows what to do with it when the ball reaches them.

It great to have Jump serve as a reserve. Reason, you can scare a few beginners! But once you reach a certain level, then you won't be playing with beginners. Everyone is ready for a Jump Serve. Because everyone will see it coming. No one is going to see a floater coming until it lands 2 feet to your left or right and out of reach for play.

Furthermore, due to experience, most people feel that jump serve takes too much risk and not enough rewards. You have to consider what level of game you are at first. To feel comfortable on what type of serve to use.

In conclusion, I must say Jump serve are very cool. Jump serve is like having sex. Almost everyone wants to do it, be rarely does anyone do it correctly!

Is anybody interested with volleyball?

gb... Jump serving is one of the basics for anyone who is going to play vball at any high level. If you intend to play at that level, then yes, you should work on developing a consistent jump serve. I think as you do though, you will realize that it's just one of many types of serves that can be effective, depending on your opponent, their passing skills, and the type of defense your team is playing (jump serves quicken your opponents offense, especially middles). Good luck.

How high is the average volleyball net?

If your regulare serve is consistant than yes wokr on your jump serve. For many people jump serving is fairly easy as long as you have the basics. In a game situation, you dont want to jump serve all the time unless you can jump serve nine out of ten times.

obviously since youve reached a varsity level overhand serve then by all means try jump serving. just FYI jump floating is easier than a jump serve and is harder for the other team to retirieve.

What is a Libero?

hmmm, im freshman VB player, and i started jumpserving this year... iono, sure! if you think youre ready, then heck, go for it! i guess it just dpends on whether or not you feel like you can do it. jump serving is really great cuz it more powerful, and i think that it kinda scares/ freaks out the other team... but then again, u have to REALLY consistant with them, cuz it can turn into a jumpsesrve, then into a "jumping-downball" and hit the net...WHO KNOWS??!! but yeah...GO FOR IT IF YOU THINK YOURE READY TO JUMP!!

Good luck! =]]
