My Problems. And open tips for anybody .?
I play in a Christian Academy volleyball team we only have 7 players. But I am having difficulties, I am over-weight and trying to serve overhand. Can anyone tell me how thay might have overcome having problems like mine? I need alot of help. I will also take any other tips in volleyball like serving and spiking. Please.

Diet might be your first step. But I don't suggest anything dramatic. You don't need to be the best hitter, or the best server, or the best passer to win a TEAM game. You just need to contribute to the game.Diet, eat normal, if you want to lose some weight. PLEASE don't lose more than 2 or 3 pounds a week. If you lose more your heart won't be HEATHIER! It sounds ironic but its true. You need your heart to adapt. Try running or even just walking 10 minutes a day. Set a goal that you can make. Try to eat something before the game, like one banana or a small sandwich. The truth is, you need energy to burn off fat!
Serving and hitting can come hand in hand. You don't need to jump really high to have the best hit. Placement is better than power. At any point, either serving or hitting, timing and aiming is the key. Aim for the ball in a direction you want to hit, and wait for the ball to come down to you at a correct height.
Listen, the cliche is practice makes perfect. So, at the end its all up to you. Do you have it in you to perfect your serving and spiking.
first thing is the toss..if its not a good toss then you wont get it right. next bring your right hand back towards your ear and toss the ball with your left hand. always follow through with you serve. make sure you hit the ball when its high because then it will be able to go over the net. idk if that helps that much but practice always helps and its what ever you feel comfrotable with. and use an open hand and hit the ball in the middle of the palm.

Toss, is key. Second to toss... is to stride through the contact. Start with your weight on your back foot. If you are right handed, that would be your right foot. When you toss, slip forward your left foot... a small, controlled step. Then, as you swing (overhand), transfer your weight from your back foot, to your front foot. This simply rocking forward of your body from back foot to front foot will greatly add momentum to your swing, enabling you to (more easily) put the ball over the net.
What does sideout mean in volleyball?
In order to over hand serve your toss has to be perfect. Toss is straight up. You know youre doing it wrong if you have to lean back or foward to hit it. Second, have a big hand and make sure your hand is hitting the ball in the middle. Then you need to practice. It might take a while cuz it did for me but over time youll nail it. i promise you.so remember those 2 things: the toss and big hand.
