Why do women who play international volleyball always rub and pat each other's rears? Is this a woman thing?

First, I'd suggest that whenever the opposing team is hitting to stay low on defense and keep yourself loose so that your ready to move and get the ball. Secondly, depending on where you are located on the court you might have to do different things, but for the most part, a whenever a ball is falling tight to the net it's important to get as low as possible under the ball and then try to pull it out of the net using a j-stroke or j-dig. A j-stroke is when you pull up with wrist and forearms. Your main objective should be trying to pull the ball out of the net and put it back on your side of the net. Trying to send it over will most likely put it right back into the net. If you are blocking when this is happening and the ball has come off your block and is falling between you and the net the best thing to do is to try and pop it up by dropping your arm and hitting it straight up with your forearm or the side of your closed hand. Getting a ball tight to the net is difficult so there is not always a lot you can do about it. Hope I helped.

Well if it hits the net you should hit the ball up or over the net because a teammate might get the ball and in volleyball if the ball hits the net it's still in play

Men's Volleyball Scholarships?

I used to play volleyball during my 7th and 8th grade. Usually, my coach, during practice, would throw the ball in the net and yell at us to bring it back up in the air so that another player can smash it. That's one way of dealing with it. Another way would be to close your hand in a fist and use the side with the thumb up to bring it back in the air. You can also use your foot, but be careful when using the last suggestion, since the majority of the time, you can't control where the ball goes, especially with your foot. So I suggest your practice a bit before actually doing it in a game.

Reminder: the game is still on even though the ball touches the net. The game is only over once the ball touches the ground.

In volleyball, how far back is the base ((serving)) line from the net?

Get under it and hit it up or hit it so it gos to your team. And if that fails dive down and make a fist for the ball to bowns off of. A friend of mine did that in a game and it worked for her, there is no harm in trying.

What r volley ball court, net dimensions, how to improve jumps in volley ball..?

ok so here is what you would do. First of all the key is to stay as low as possible. Your thighs will hurt very much throughout the first few practices but eventually they will become very strong (and sexy too). Second thing, is the technique part. Instead if standing (try to imagine this with me now) with your passing platform perpendicular towards the net, try and pass the ball while going with your platform parallel to the net, so that when it goes up, it wont go into the net, but pass high and away, and not into, the net. This helps tremendously when your covering a hit and the ball is blocked and comes straight down the net on yourside. try it out. Remember, shoulders and platform parallel to the net. Good luck!

HELP i NEED a TEAM NAME FAST!!?

If you think that a ball is going into the net its a good idea to get low into a bump position right where you think the ball is going to fall that way when if rolls down the net you should be able to get it up in the air for a quick set or a spike over the net. Antisipating where you think it is going to come off the net will help you be able to respond. Try working on it in practice that way you don't panic during a game situation, because in volleyball every point counts.

Hope this help and have a good season

Do you think that highschools should have a boys volleyball team too??

If it is not your third touch on the ball you would need to be under the net and hit it back towards your team members, side ways. If this is the third touch then you would have to try to be under the ball and hit it straight up and hope it goes over. It is kinda tuff but if you keep on working on it then you will get it down.
