Volleyball...?
I'm pretty new to volleyball, and I have my first game tomorrow... I dunno what type of serving i should use... i can't do overarm yet, but i can do sidearm and underarm... the problem is... the ceiling is really short, so i want to do something that will help it go up and over... but not hit the ceiling... what should i use??

Does anyone play club volleyball if so which one i need to join a new club in cali?
i just started volleyball this year, and my coach has taught me that, if there is a low ceiling only serve overhand if it is absolutely necessary, and sidearm is very hard to control , so my answer is that you should just use underhand, it is much easier for me and i always get the ball over, and remember to not hit it to hard just kind of hit it at a medium point, and even though everyone is watching, just focus on serving for someone, like say "i am going to hit this ball over for my mom" i do that every time and i just put myself in my own area, think about nothing but the focus on nothing but the ball, and kinda of clear everyone else out, you should have no worriesthe best is sure service and because that ypu should use that one you think is 100% without mistake! the sure service will more help your team than mistake. it isn`t metter how that sure service look like!
dont use under arm u will get noware fast and who cares if u serve bad. one serve and your done. from now on at practice go over to the coach and ask him/her to help u with your serve.
When I played volleyball in my 7th and 8th grade, my school's ceiling was very short, so we (my team and I) had an advantage when other schools came to play at mine. The trick is to bend your back and knees more just a bit and to make sure that your serving arm doesn't do the same thing when your in a high ceiling gym. I would suggest that when they do the 2-2-1(if they do that), that you practice serving and to get yourself comfortable with the ceiling, since the ceiling always has a say in volleyball. After your game, I would approach the coach to ask for help so you can adjust when serving in gyms with ceilings of different heights.
Also, when you serve, I would suggest using the serve that you are most comfortable with. For instance, I'm most comfortable with my underarm serve, so I use that kind of serve during a game. Services are very important in volleyball, since most of the team's points happen during the service. Do the serves that you know that will go over the net and not the serves that somebody tells you to do. The coach will usually give you some advice as to your services. They will tell you which one(s) you succeed the most at.
Can anyone tell me how to play volleyball?
first of all...it's overhand not overarm ... loland the way to keep your serves low is to bend over more and bend your knees more
