Try taking your approach from farther backHow do you get the ball in front of you for a better for a spike?
get a good set from Ur setter.start back farther and make sUre ur timing is rite..You either need to make your approach shorter by a step or two or start a little further back. Also, maybe you're leaving too early and the ball is being set a little further back than you're expecting. If that is the case, wait to see where the ball is going before you begin your approach.
its not really that the ball has to be infront of you, but ofcourse it has to be a good set, but all that it is, is your swing and the way that you are hitting the ball. if you are hitting the ball and your body is positioned to the left then the ball will be hit to the left.
Back to your question...
Just remember placement before power, do a full swing, snap your wrist, and try to put your elbow up in the air, for faster more downhill balls.
Hope that helps! :)

when u feel like ur close to it walk two steps and jump up bring ur hand back pause for a moment and hit the living day out of it.Does anyone know any training tips to get ready for volleyball season?
delay your approachHow much would you pay for an autograph visor by casey jennings and kerri walsh?
you must have really long legs..so scoot back a little before you hit it and youll be farther from the net and behind the ball after you approachChances are your to gung ho. Just relax, if your setter is setting you a consistant ball then you just have to slow down. Take your time, wait for the ball to get up there and then go when you can hit it at the highest point possible. If your to early and the ball is off the net you have to adjust and go backwards, which is very difficult. Its easier to adjust when the ball is in front or you. The other thing you could do is to ask the setter to bring it down a bit. I personally like more of a loop then a high ball. It doesn't give the blockers time to set up and your swing is more reaction rather than waiting and thinking.
I am trying to find a company called Tandem Sports?
u dont have to start farther back what u have to do is on the step where u plant both feet in the ground to get ready to jump, you have to plant ur feet farther back, take a smaller step with ur left foot (first step if ur a righty) and wait til the ball reaches its highest piont then take off with quick feet and after u landed look down and check to see if ur behind the nets shadow if ur infront of it go back and try it without the ball and really focus on planting ur feet because that step will stop u so u stay behind the shadow. good luck!!More Questions & Answers...
