How to dive properly?

well, it might be ur toss, my coach always tells us that if we cant take a step and hit it with our arm extended, then were messing up. or it may just be how ur hitting it. try to use your palm, it goes faster and harder. if that doesnt work try using a different foot work. try to stop the swing right after you hit it, unless its not comfortable, then keep swinging down. hope i helped! good luck

What's the best way to improve our volleyball team?

OK here's what you do:::::: OK i know you will get annoyed with me saying this but I'm gonna say it...you really do want to start without the ball. I'm sorry but it's the sad truth. OK you want to take your arm and take it to reach as far as you can up. then swing it down all the way down but don't swing it across your body. You want to swing it straight down past your leg. Then after you do that for like 2-5 minutes. next you want to toss the ball up not to high (about 2 inches above your arm straight up). when you drop it it, you want it to land a little bit in front of your right foot if your right handed. then practice putting those two together and remember, you might want to toss it with both hands and then when it's in the air, put your left hand straight but a little bit up. Aiming over the net. Then, on your right hand your thumb should be in your ear(not literally but just to get the idea). then swing your arm like i described previously. If you still have troubles after you practice then you can contact me at piggy5550123@aim.com.
Thanks and good luck at try outs!!

P.s. you want to use the heel of your hand and if you need to, you can step with your left foot and drag with your right.

Volleyball a sport?

It's hard to answer since I don't know what you doing is wrong, but I will try. I think you are trying to hit the ball with your hand, you have to use your shoulder and body to hit the ball. Bend backwards little bit before your serve and then hit the ball at the same time you are moving forward. And remember to bring the power from the sholder up not just wrist.

Should I get black or white volleyball kneepads?

Try watching your toss... if it is too far behind or ahead of you it just complicates things... Also make sure you snap your wrist which will make it go over and straight down!!

Can someone get me a complete bio on Jenny Johnson Jordan? All I can find is stats throughout her career.?

The way I learned to do over hand serves was by working on spiking. I would stand at a specified distance from the wall (facing it) and would warm up.

Warm up was tossing the ball down from over my head to let my arm muscles limber.

Then i would start with tossing the ball and hitting it so it would hit a point right before the wall (it comes back to you this way). This was a way to get my stance and arm coordination. It also helped with fine tuning how my hand struck the ball.

When i felt comfortable i would step back to another point and continue. This time I would aim for a line that was placed on the wall to simulate the net height (you can measure out about what it is one your own if needed. This was practice for back row hitting as i was the setter and had to be able to spike without jumping.

In very lil time i was able to get better control, more power (muscles built up), and even start serving floaters overhand.

This is one of the drills i do personally whenever i just want to blow off steam or don't have anyone to practice with.

Good luck and feel free to e-mail if you need clarification on anything i wrote.

Remember: Practice makes better!
