Been there, buddy! I'm a girl and my whole team has gone through that terrible sweat smelly-ness! Anyway, after every game, I toss my Nike knee pads straight into the washer. Inside out or not, it gets the smell out and it doesnt ruin the material. I don't know what kind of knee pads you have, but I'm sure they wont get killed if you toss them in. I mean, they're on your knees for in case you have to go for the dive so I'm sure that is harsh on the material anyway. Then after being in the wash with tons of laundry detergent, I toss them straight into the dryer if I need them again the next day. It doesn't kill it at all.

If you're on a tournament, bring a can of febreze. It covers the odor long enough after each game until you can toss them back into your bag and shower.
