Ummm I am 13 and I play on a club volleyball team. I have been playing competitively for 6 years. I found that the shoe brand with the most grip and stability is Mizuno.. yes it will cost you a pretty penny but they last forever. Just a little tip, I broke my ankle last year playing volleyball it is a very good suggestion to buy active ankles, they are ankle supports that help a lot!!

adidas but my volleball shoes weren't cheap they were like a $100.

I think it really depends on your foot. Nike is usually good for more narrow feet while asics and mizuno are a little wider. New Balance has different widths for each size which can be a plus. Good luck. By the way i wore Nike shocks cross trainers in college (varsity) and loved them.

Asics are the best way to go. Something like the Gel-Sensei, Gel-1100V or the Gel Rocket III are all excellent shoes. I personally have a pair of the Gel-Senseis and am very satisfied with them. Mizuno also makes some good shoes.

Mizunos in my opinion are much better than Asics! Asics get very dusty on the bottom easily and you can slide around when your trying to run. Also Mizunos are much lighter weight than most asics.
