Volleyball or basketball?

Hey this isn't an answer to this question... sorry... but as for you asking me what cardio is... it's basically anything that will get your heart rate up. Like running (which I hate and don't do), biking, swimming. Anything like that. Cardio stands for cardiovascular which means heart health. And you should do it for at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. I actually do it for 30 minutes 5 times a week but I've been working out for years. I wouldn't start off doing that. Anyways I really hope this helps and if you have any other questions you can email me at ajsher20@hotmail.com. Peace.

Dose anyone like vollyball?

Yes, the right choice for fun and fitness, both! A brisk, fun game that keeps you fit! With variations like 'Wally Ball' , Beach Volleyball etc.!

How do I stop my breasts from bouncing so much when I play sports?

Well running always helped me. I would suggest doing wall squats and lunges to work out your thighs. Also remember while you practice to stay low while you wait for the ball. You play how you practice so if you slack off in practice your game will stink. You don't only need to be athletic you have to have skill also. I would suggest staying low and passing it back and forth agianst the wall. That would be the best way to gain control of the ball. Control is key in Volleyball. Remeber... Desire, Dedication, and Disipline.. The three D's. They are key to a great player. GOOD LUCK BABE!!!

Why do all boys have to be gross?

#1 learn where you need to be. Study the web to learn rotations, coverage, defense, etc. Watch people play. Figure out what your are good at, so you know how to help the team.

#2 basics, handle the ball, pass (fingers) bump. Practice against a wall, aim for a spot and pass to it 20 or 30 times consistantly.

#3 volleyball has both quick bursts, and long stamina needs. Do some sprints, and some longer running. Practice jumping technique.

Good Luck!

Anyone club volleyball player excited!?

u really need to work on ball control, like when u r passing a ball i wld reccomend putting a piece of tape in the wall and get at least 100 perfect passes to that area and then move the tape lower and lower. Then setting, if you wnt to be a setter, you should set against the wall, then to a person and maybe go to the recreation center and try setting outside, middle and right side. For hitting u really need to work on placement, timing and the point at which you contact the ball. Try hitting against the wall, keeping it under control until you feel improvement. For serving all i can say is practice on a net! The less steps you take in your serve, the less chance for error there is! I hope this all helps, i've been in your position before and give u my best wishes!

I've never played wallyball. Can someone tell me the difference between that and volleyball?

I have played volleyball ever since I was little with my siblings and cousins, played all through high school, and I am now a coach. With the getting fit part of your endeavor, I would suggest to you that you run and do cardio. But when training for volleyball, running for miles upon miles will not help. Do that when you are starting your training, but as you get into it you need to do sprinting, and agility that will work your quick twitch muscle fibers.

As for the volleyball aspect, I suggest that you work on your vertical jump, this will help with all aspects including blocking, hitting, and attacking. Passing is key. A simple drill that you can do at home by yourself is pass the ball against the wall and try to hit the same spot each time. This will help you with your ball handling and placement. Also, if you have a net, set it up in your back yard and work on your serving. Serving will make or break a team. Serve it, run and get it and do the same, this will work your cardio also. Hitting you really can't do alone, but if you have a wall that is high enough, hit the ball to the floor so it bounces off the wall and back to you, and keep hitting it. This will help with getting on top of the ball and contact.

What year was volleyball originate? If id did not originate in the US, when did it appear?

Volleyball players .HELP! have some tips on how to get ur overhands over the net? if u do... HELP!?

First of all, you don't suck at Volleyball. All you need are some techniques to help you improve your game.

1. Work on both your upper and lower body strengths.
2. Practice doing some volleyball drills.
3. Exercise your entire body from top to bottom.
4. Do some weightlifting and cardiovascular exercises.

Do these techniques and you will be on the volleyball team in no time.

Good Luck!

Where i can watch volleyball world championship on TV what TV station?

well to tell you the truth...everyone and their mother will be brushing up on their hitting.but to secure a spot on that team work on your hands...practice setting everyday while at home wherever...thats what will separate you from the rest...because when making the difficult cuts as a coach...hitters are a dime a dozen, setters win games...

Need some synonims! I need to find a good team name.?

Go to a volleyball camp. You will imporve drastically!

Are u supposed 2 wear undies under volleyball spandex?

CONTROL. That's the number one thing that you need to be good at. If you don't have it, the games are gonna be embarrassing!
Always get the second hit to you setter, and if u are the setter, get the 2nd hit and get it to your middle blocker so she/he can spike/drive it over the net. Try to get three hits all together.Talk to your team mates! Call the ball and BE AGGRESSIVE.
Always be in ready position, which is hands on your knees, ready to run. Make sure you understand how to rotate and get back to your spot.
Practice your serves whenever possible, that is the easiest way to get easy points! Overhand serve if possible because it's harder and you are more likely to get points.
Remember, CONTROL!!

Volleyball help. its my coach. thanks.?

The easiest way to make a volleyball team is to practice the basics. Practice bumping the ball with friends or even at Xs on a wall. You can also practice setting to yourself. Set yourself while standing, sitting and laying down. When you get good enough that you can set all the way through standing, sitting and laying.close your eyes and set to yourself.

Practice spiking against a wall. Drive the ball into the ground, let it hit the wall and then hit it again. When you can do this for 15 minutes straight without the ball stopping, you will be a great controlled spiker.

The best cardio for a volleyball player is jump roping. It is a great workout and builds a higher vertical jump. Another great cardio workout is find a volleyball net to practice your serve on...serve...chase your ball...serve...chase your ball...

Good luck on making the team.
