be aggressive! never let a ball drop that you could have gotten because you think the person beside you could have had it. go for every ball and call every ball you have a shot at until someone else calls you off. always be ready and think that the ball is coming to YOU.
communicate. this is key. your team should never have a moment of silence on the court. always talk... always call the ball if you're going for it, call someone else off if you know you have a better angle than them, let everyone know if the ball is going to go out, call the ball if you're in the front row so the setter knows you're ready, talk if you see the serve going short or long, talk if a back row hitter is clear to attack rather than just pass over the net, call out how many blockers/hitters the other team has at the net. you get the point - never let your team be silent.
pass accurately. no matter what anyone says, if you can't pass well to target, the setter will have a difficult time getting a good set, which makes the hitter have a hard time getting a good attack, which essentially screws up your entire offense. every good offensive play in volleyball starts with a good pass. you're not going to pass perfectly every time, but continue to practice, practice, practice
Can calf raises make you jump higher?
be in ready positionWhat is the momentum of a 96kg footbll player who is moving at 5.8m/s? p=___kg times m/s?
work on your approach. timing is KEY.PRACTICE...PRACTICE...PRACTICE...
well when you are serving overhand it just takes a lot of strength and timing hit the ball when it is in front of ur hand when ur arm is extended upward...for bumping make sure u are square w. the ball and facing who u are aiming for...hit it on ur sweet spot (between ur elbow and ur wrist)...and setting also takes time and practice...but i myself am not a setter...lol but i guess just try to keep ur elbows in...and extent out, aim w. ur thumbs...and for spiking practice ur approach...and also get perfect timing on that to... jump high and use ur free hand to guide urself...good luck*
Well the main point of volleyball is to have perfect timing.
Volleyball is one of those sports that require intensity and 100% at all times, your focus is a must.
A few simple rules are the "4 foot" rule; Anything within 4 feet of you, in any direction, is yours; you move Fast to the ball and Do Not pull back unless a teamate calls you off. Each team member must Learn To Speak and Speak loudly and clearly to each other during practice and a game; this communication is as vital as hitting, digging, serving.
This is So Much More Important than any rule or technique that I can think of. Absent this, your team will second guess each other resulting in balls hitting the floor and points being racked up by your opponent.
Rather than go into detail about the game I would encourage you to find a volleyball camp this summer and by August you will be ready to step into a team slot, I'm sure.
