Kayak Surf Zone Launch?

I'm planning to go on a kayaking tour which requires a surf zone launch. I'm a little skeptical about this due to a fear and my ability in swimming. Is there anything that I need to know to prepare myself? I understand I need to paddle pass the breakers, what are the chances of my kayak getting tipped over at the breakers? what should I do? Is it easier to launch during low tide?

If you are ever concerned you are not a good enough swimmer to escue your self in the case that a kayak flips then you shouldn't be in the water.
