Where can one hire motor boats in the manchester, u.k. area o.n.o.?
Ocean riding is great! Blue water, waves, white sandy beaches and unexplored territories. There are a few things you can do to prevent harm to your ski's. Most of the ski's in my area have never seen fresh water that didn't come out of a hose and give years of service.
Give all metal parts, engine and pump, a spray with crc marine or similar anti corrosion spray before launching.
After each day:
Your ski's have a flushing attachment. It has a black screw cap. Its at the rear of the engine bay opening on the 1200, not sure about the 800. You need a flush adaptor that should have come with your ski's, if not, buy one. After you have ridden in the salt water, flush your ski's with a hose to remove salt. (instructions in owners handbook)
Hose down entire ski inside and out with drain plugs out. Don't use high pressure on engine though as you don't want to force water into electrical connections etc.
Spray with crc again.
Safety first!
If you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the conditions, be careful!
Stay in sight of land.
Beware of falling tides. (you don't want to be stranded overnight!)
Carry a tow rope!
ps. You don't need 180hp to ride the ocean! The yammies that the Hawiians used in the surf until recently were 70hp.
How come people assume that everyone from California surfs?
Depends on the horsepower. You need at least 180 for the ocean to deal with currents etc.Whats the average wage of a beach lifeguard?
