Hey everyone, what's the proper way to wax my skimboard?

I'm pretty sure I got it but I just want some second opinions.

Wax it just like you would a surfboard. Use a visible amount of "base coat" first (important so your regular wax will properly adhere to your stick). Then liberally apply your favorite regular wax. When applying both waxes, do so using circular motions. Be sure you buy the wax that's compatible to the water temp. that you'll be skimming in!
