Question:I'm taking my 3* kayak assessment soon & have looked at the sample questions on the BCU site. Could anyone tell me where I can find the answers or feel sorry for me & just tell me before I badger the coaches? I haven't had a lot of time to prepare for the theory but have been told my practical is above standard. Please help!

Surfing Help?
Generally the assessors don't ask questions in a formal test sort of situation, they just chat to you and find out about your experiences and knowledge. Most of the questions in the coaching manual are as it says, sample questions and the assessors may chose ones of his/her own. Most of the answers are common sense and logical. Don't panic, think before you say anything, but be honest about what you say.

Contact BCU direct - not for the answers of course - but they should point you in the right direction for the references where you could find them.
I've always found them willing and helpful, especially when it comes to off-loading pamphlets and magazines
