If by car, take the second to last exit to viginia key beach before bridge to key biscayne, if you look down the road you'll see a ranger check point where you have to pay. Dont pay, tell them you are going to Jimbos for a beer. Then park on the street near lot 6 and take the trail E to the beach, there are some points back in there from the beach especially towards the brigde.
