they are starting to pick up out there i would wait a month and it should be hitting.If your interested in other species as well ,the white sea bass are biting when the weather is good and you can fish around the kelp areas for calico's and yellows .you can check witht e boats that go out of santa barbara area the usually have a fishing report daily that will que you in as when to head out there.
