Were to go white water rafting near oklahoma city??
I am looking for an overnight trip from oklahoma city but dont really no were to go? Also is this time of year good for white water rafting? Any info would be good Thanks

I don't know of any rafting in OK. I think Colorado is the closest whitewater to be had. You might be able to find some mellow canoe trips in your area. But generally you have to have gradient to create whitewater, which OK does not have. The Arkansas River is the most southern whitewater river in Colorado and probably the closest to you. It also happens to be the most rafted river in the world due an abundance of great rapids and varying levels of difficulty. We offer overnight raft trips which include all food and supplies along with your guided whitewater trip. The raft season is May-September. However, if your looking for a big water experience then June is when we receive the peak snowmelt run-off. This is going to be a great year for rafting in Colorado thanks to all of snow! Snow melt sounds cold, but the water temps on the lower Arkansas can be very friendly compared to other rivers.Here is a video link and a photo gallery of rafting in Colorado. wow, that sounds like fun... i live in okc too, but haven't heard of a place nearby....the closest probably would be in colorado maybe...hmmmmmmm....w... if you find out, i'd love to know!! : )
