line to line - blood knot, bimini twist
sinkers - droper loop, cinch

There are special knots for fishing. The fishing line, usually monofiliment, breaks easily if stressed and the special fishing knots are designed to keep the line strength near 100%. The answers already given should show you how to tie the knots, the most common is the cinch. Basically slip the line through the hook eye, wrap the line around itself 7 times then run the end back through the loop created on top of the eye. Pull tight. The improved cinch is the same but you put the line through another loop before pulling tight. I have tied the cinch since I was 5 years old!More Questions & Answers...
