I just got an old obrian windsurfer board.how do i attach the mast to that weird long plate?
theirs no hole in the floor so i assume a part is missing that attaches to the plate in the middle of the board..do i need to buy a part

To secure the mast to the board you need a mast base or mast foot. Without it you can not secure the mast to the board. I would call the person/place you got it and ask for that piece. If they do not have it, you can look here to know what you need.http://windsurfing-direct.com/usa/...
Look under the Mast Bases, and Mast Feet. Most of the old O'Brien used a single bold base. Good luck.
