Thinking of buying a Malibu boat for wakeboarding?

My family wakeboards, right now we have a Ski Nautique. We're thinking of buying a Malibu. Any thoughts?

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the top tier wakeboard boat manufacturers. Malibu, MasterCraft, Nautique, and Tige. But be prepared to pay upwards of $60K + for the top of the line V drives. Go over to www.wakeboarder.com, there you will find reviews and forum threads on just about every boat on the market.

I based my decision on form, function, and dealer service. I went with the MasterCraft X30 back in 2003, with a family of 5 and you want to bring extended family and friends, you need the space. If I were buying a new boat, i would be considering the Malibu 247 for its size. A friend of mine just picked up a 2006 VLX. Very sweet ride I must say and with the 1200 lbs ballast tanks and hydraulic wedge, you will never run out of wake on that boat. Good luck.

Malibu makes great boats. Nautique makes good boats too. Why change unless you are buying a wake specific boat. Mastercraft without a doubt has the highest resale value. I got a centurion myself.
