Question:so i am surprising my bf this christmas on a 6 day surfer trip to Costa Rica ,,,,but i don't know anything about surfing. When is the best time to go there for waves.
please help me out so that i don't book a ticket for him at the wrong time

it depends on where ur going. most people go to the pacific side that receives south swell best and works best in the summer months. try to miss the "student summer" season though, and you will have significantly less crowds. if you want to really make him happy on this trip though, be flexible with planning. for example, if there is a big carribean storm, and there is swell hitting the other side, be open to a road trip to salsa brava or something. that is a killer present!
