I use a wetsuit shampoo by Aquaseal. It is good for all sorts of Neoprene items and keeps them from breaking down.I put my wet suit in the washing machine all the time. I've had it for 6 years now and it is still in perfect condition.

Whatever you do you should not put it in the washer machine. I just wash mine in the shower with soap. I recently used delicate laundry liquid soap that makes it smell nice. It is meant for washing neoprene and delicate fabrics like a wetsuit. The salt water can make the suit smell nasty so try to wash your suit everytime you use it. I've had my suit for 5 years and it is still in excellent condition.Will I be okay to surf in 45 degree water with a 3/2 fullsuit?
It very clearly states on most wetsuits labels "do not machine wash" You should clean your suit in cool water every day to get rid of the salt that way it will last longer.Ya sure others have said their suits lasted 5 years. What do they go out twice a year?? I surf every day - Stick to the clean water system and maybe shampoo once a month if needed.
