Surfing Help?

see i live in Miami, and i cnt surf there cuz there are no waves, and the place i used to surf in got shut down because of too many shark attacks, anyway where is a good place place to surf thats close to Miami, it doesnt have to be close to Miami just make sure its in Florida, or in the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks!! P.S it would be great if the place had big waves.

There are a lot of good spots for surfing on the east coast. Fort Lauderdale Beach is pretty good in the winter season because of the cold fronts. This spot is best at high tide.
