What size surfboard should i get?
I'm a San Diego resident and beginner/intermediate surfer looking for more performance than my 7'4" 3 inch thick beginner board. the trick is im 6'5" and 225, but athletic and coordinated so i just want something to throw around but can also handle all kinds of san diego waves...thinking maybe about 6'8" something?

What do you do when you want to quit but then dont?
Don't get a surfboard. Surfing is for douche bags.http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=a0geup4pa4vf7a...

Go with a ~7' board. It's a good comprise between performace and wave catching. Always go with something slightly longer than you think if you want to keep the wave count up. Too many beginners seem to think shorter is better and wind up making the learning curve even harder than it is. If you are beginner/intermediate - you'll learn the best by catching more waves, surfing fast, and learning to turn better. 7' thruster fits the bill perfectly and should hold you in all but the smallest conditions but you've got plenty of good waves down there. Is there a nude beach etiquette?
