I would say that the most consistent spot for surfing year round in North Carolina is Wrightsville Beach. It is near Wilmington in the southern portion of the state. I live in South Carolina and during the summer, make trips up to Wrightsville just to go surfing cause it is usually significantly better than what we get down here.
