Who would win in a race a trout or a cod?
Fish eat (bite) in N.C. year 'round. They are more active in warm water, but they eat all year 'round and therefore, can be caught. What is the best way to catch lobster?
I don't know never been there hope this helps.I live in VA and they are biting. We caught a 4 lb this weekend and it was cold. But they are biting we used spinners.
Who, in your opinion is the worlds greatest athlete and why?
I live there and yes fish are biting there. This is the best time to go fishing(SPRING) because trout and bass are spawning at this time...I will reccommend going to Lake Caston ( where i caught 3 bass at around 3-5lb. range) if you like lake fishing or the Roanoke River (where i caught a 17-21 inch rainbow trout) if you like to go river fishing.TIPS:
FOR BASS
You should try a 3/8 ounce jig head , Texas rig a power worm (color:tequila sunrise) and jig it on the bottom near timber.this will give the worm a fairly slow sink rate and you will get lots of bites while the worm is sinking
Try to use some Rapala baits, preferably the X-RAP, gold and silver colors work the best. Husky jerks work well in spawning bass beds and weeds.
Another tip is to use a a white tube with red glitter( Venom brand) and inset a 1/16 tud insert weight and jig that on the bottom...but don't push that tube weight all the way up. by doing this that tube twitches more and attracts more fish..also use some liquid powerbait bass attractant with that.
Buzzbaits work very good. so des berkley gulp!
live shiners...never fail
plastic frogs work very well as a topwater bait.
FOR TROUT
use a 1/16 oz. yellow or orande spinner, pink or red salmon eggs, nightcrawlers, or orange or chartreuse powerbait.
Another good bait is the Phobe by Acme tackle(http://www.acmetackle.com/scripts/phoebe... gold in color...it looks like a full body bait fish when jigged slowly and it has a lot of action at the botom of a stream.
