Jet ski in the ocean?
My husband bought me a jet ski a few days ago and he wants to take it to Pismo Beach and ride it in the ocean. I'm worried about the salt water corroding it. Does anyone have any experience with this? Will it be ok in the ocean?

It will be fine. The ocean is the only place where I ride mine. You just have to make sure you flush out the engine with fresh water. This is a very important step. Connect a garden hose to the back of the jet ski when you get it out of the ocean. Start the engine, then turn on the water quickly and let the ski run for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the water and let the ski run for 5 seconds then cut the power. If you do this an spary the ski down with water, then you will be fine. If you forget then corrosion problems can arise.More Questions & Answers...
