Yes, I did it when I was 9. It was so much fun. I remember driving to the place to get into the raft and passing the rapids. It scared the crap out of me. I had 2nd, 3rd, & 4th thoughts about going. I was really scared seeing the rapids. I forced myself to do it tho, well my parents said "you have to go, we allready paid". So I swallowed my fear and hopped into the raft with a bunch of other people. The adrenaline rush you get is like nothing else I have experienced. We almost flipped a couple times, but it was great. I didn't want to go in the drink because it was in alaska and the water was freeezing. There were big glaciers still melting at the slow parts.I will never forget that trip. Its a lot of hard work rowing and you have to pay attention to the guide because he is the one that keeps you from flipping. But its so cool. We passed a raft that had flipped. They didn't pay attention to the guy. We passed them because they were yanking the last of the people out of the water allready. I am glad I didn't wimp out. You feel closer to nature when you have a chance to take a break at the slow parts. It was wonderful. I recommend everyone go at least once. It was amazing.
