Yamaha 1200 waverunner speed !?

Zap skimboards are good, but having ridden both I personally prefer Victoria skimboards.

Try a "Foamie" model, size medium -- about 48 inches long. It's the entry level foam board, which would be what you are looking for to start being able to do tricks and get out to the waves.

It's right in your price range too, about $150. Check out vicskim.com.

It would be a huge step up from a wood board, way faster. Don't break your neck!

How do I regain respect on my rowing team with all boys. Only girl who wants to be treated with more respect?

I'd go with a Victoria too (Local bias). They're bound to have a model that will match your situation.
