Yamaha 1200 waverunner speed !?
Zap skimboards are good, but having ridden both I personally prefer Victoria skimboards.Try a "Foamie" model, size medium -- about 48 inches long. It's the entry level foam board, which would be what you are looking for to start being able to do tricks and get out to the waves.
It's right in your price range too, about $150. Check out vicskim.com.
It would be a huge step up from a wood board, way faster. Don't break your neck!
Where can i find a vintage Morey-Pope surf board price?
The thinnest one,i promise.I have been surfing my whole life...tom scienceI'd go with a Victoria too (Local bias). They're bound to have a model that will match your situation.
