Which is a better skimboard, a zap wedge or a victoria foamie?

Answers:

Thinking about getting in to Kayaking...?

Zap and Victoria both make good boards, and the Wedge and the Foamie are similar in that they're both designed for beginner to intermediate skimmers who are just starting to get out over the chop to carve up the shorebreak.

The price is fairly similar too, so the tiebreaker for you will be picking the best board for your size.

From Zap:
The Wedge comes in three sizes. Small which is recommended for riders under 100 pounds, medium which is recommended for riders under 120 pounds, and large which is recommended for riders under 140 pounds.

From Victoria:
Foamie Sizes
Small: 85 - 120 lbs
Medium 120 - 145 lbs
Large: 145 - 170 lbs

So depending on your weight, the Foamie may be better. Otherwise, either way you are going to get a solid board.

Good luck!
