i dont know what area you're talking about, but i do know that the likely hood of alligator attack while kayaking is rare. especially when kayaking. i fishing in the rivers and lakes all around Florida and gators usually will not get to close to you. if they do, i usually throw a rock or a stick at them and they go away. just dont intimidate the gator or do anything to provoke an attack such as feeding. also i worked at golf resort where there was a 6-10 foot gator in every pond. and the guest at the resort would always feed these gators.used to weed eat the edges of the pond so i was very prone to an attack and i had never once been attacked. now dont go out thinking that a gator wont attack, because there is that slight chance. if you dont bother them, they wont bother you.More Questions & Answers...
