River Permits?
OK...it's that time of year again!! What rivers did you apply for trip permits on? Also, what time of year and why did you pick the river(s) you applied for?

That time of year? It's February! Where I'm from, everything is covered in snow and ice. It's really not a good time for kayaking here. That said, when spring rolls around, I will apply for a permit for the Wolf River, sec. IV in Wisconsin. It goes through the Menomonee reservation and they make you pay to go on that section. It has the best rapids on the Wolf River. Plus, I just got a new (used, but new to me) kayak and I'm anxious to try it out.Thought you might like at least one answer to your question.
