Wake Surfing?

About how fast (mph) should the boat be going to get a good wake surf?

Answers:

What are some websites that i can get info on the newport beack surf report?

I load only the ballast take on one side, and have all the passengers sit in the rear of the boat on the same side. I cruise about 10 - 11 mph and make a slow arching turn to the same side. When weighted properly, my boat will throw a waist high + wave that can be ridden without holding on to a rope. Lots of fun. Be cognoscente of other boats and recreational vessels around you, because it can push a huge wake that could swamp smaller boats, and if in an area with docked boats, could cause some damage.
