As been said morzine is pants at the mo along with many french resorts...austria is not upto much either...i`d wait a while and check the snow reports before you book anywhere in europe altho the 3 valleys seems to have had quite a fair bit of snow.I just came back from superdevoluy (france) and i reckon the bottom runs will be crap if they do not get a dumping of snow by the end of next week.

My dad works out there and i speak to him every other day . Unfortunately it has been the worst start to the season for many years . Temperatures are too warm and the lower slopes have little or no snow on themAvoriaz was shut yesterday due to strong winds and storms .
Le Pleney , which is the red run that you can see from the Tourist office web cam is lacking snow . Most of the lower slopes Les Gets/Morzine side are closed .
Some stuff up top is good as the rain falling in the village is falling as snow up top . but everyone is heading there so its busy on these runs .
Best getting out early and dropping off the back of a run and finding some off piste ..as long as you know where your going .
Positive signs.the locals reckon the weather is due to change over the coming week and get a lot colder . Which is the main problem due to the warm January temperatures the ground is a lot warmer than it should be .
