Skate tightness is a very personal issue - everyone likes their skates tied differently. Personally, I like mine tied looser through the foot and tighter at the top. They should be tight enough that your feet don't slip, but lose enough to be comfortable.tight enough for them not to fall off, and be too uncomfortable.which is really as tight as u can get them
Tight enough so that they don't fly off and scalp somebody whilst you're pirouetting.
Any boarders out there missing the snow?
It's not that important to have the laces super-tight at the very top or the end of your toe, the important part is the few loops of lace that cross where your ankle bends, in the middle of the skate. That is where you get most of the support. They should be tight enough that you can't really sag your ankles in or out, but not so tight your feet really hurt (although they shouldn't feel like fuzzy slippers, either).
Where can i find the jeenyus eddie wall 153 snowboard?
very tight.Usually you want it so tight that circulation to your feet is restricted, but not completely cut off. skating for a few minutes will slightly loosen the laces, so your feet will be fine.
the problem lies with new, unbroken-in skates, and usually with bad skates. Avoid bad skates!
as for new skates, try wearing extra pair of socks to distribute the pressure points.

Tie them as tight as you can. You shouldn't be able to wiggle your toes. Also, leave the very top part a little loose. (Enough so you can stick a finger between the skate and your leg)I am continuing track this year i need some qualities ways to be ready.?
u should tie them really tight in the middle of the skate (where the ankle bends) because that's where u do most of ur work...in the ankles and knees. don't tie them so tight where u can wiggle ur toes...when u buy new skates and try them on, they ask u (or they should) if u can wiggle ur toes. don't leave 'em so loose that when u skate, both of ur feet skate on the inside edge (insides of blades) because that is 1 of the signs of looseness. being tight at the top doesn't really matter. if u do them 2 tights @ the top, it'll be harder to bend ur knees since u can't really move their ankles.Do you think curling should be removed as an Olympic sport?
As tight as you can without them hurting your feet too bad. Usually people tie them as tight as they can possibly get them, because you don't want your ankles to slip around in your skates, otherwise they will get injured. What is Tanith Belbin/Ben Agusto's 2007 exhibition music?
Not too loose, if they are loose you won't have enough ankle support to stroke correctly. Also, don't tie them too tight that they are uncomfortable or cutting off your circulation. i work in an ice arena, you should tie your skates up so that there is no room for movement, (backwards and forwards) inside the skate. As movement causes friction, which will cause blisters. So ensure your skates fit correctly before tieing. Then tie them so there comfy plus giving enough support. Good luckMore Questions & Answers...
