So I know I asked this question already but im just bored.?
Question:So with your skating what is your dietary plan and workout?
Mine is (well im vegetarian) lots of fruit &vegetables, no milk no coke, no coffee, and my work out is jog everyday, stretch every morning for 30 mins. and skate twice a week. what do you do?
Answers:
i really odn't have time for breakfast... i know that's bad... but anyway...
skate in the mornings. eat a candy bar between ice cuts. Go to the gym until 12. at the gym i run, use the ski michine, lift weights, and do a lot of core workouts. have a nice big lunch. come home do my lessons.I have ballet three times a week. on day i don't have class i pratcice and strech in my room.
What size snowboard should I buy?
always eat breakfast. sometimes when I skate in early mornings I used to skip breakfast, and... let's just say it doesn't work.I try to eat lots of protein, some fruit and veggies, whole grains, and the occasional chocolate bar (usually only the times when I'm skating 5 hours a day).
about working out... I do low-impact aerobics sometimes, stretches after the aerobics, ride my bike occasionally, and skate about 3 times a week.
I've found that I skate a lot worse if I don't eat. If I skip a meal, and then try to skate, I'm shaky. So I never skip meals, and if I feel hungry before I skate, I eat something small and light.
Other than that, I simply try to watch what I eat. I don't refuse any sort of foods, specifically - I'll have one or two Diet Cokes per day, for example - but I have everything in moderation. I can have cookies, so long as I don't have A LOT of cookies.
I stretch every day, and do some basic strength exercises and ab/core work. I skate twice per week steadily, and sometimes can do three times per week. I walk on my off-days.
