So..the other half has won a weeks skiing in Bulgaria. Never having been before, suggestions as to what gear is neccessary would be gratefully received (ie single or 2-piece suits etc). Hardware is included, as is instruction

If you like it (and you will) buy your own for your next time(s). You will also need ski socks (long tube type), a woolly/fleece hat (maybe even a balaclava), scarf or something for your neck, sports sunglasses (they fit tighter and are less likely to shoot off down the mountain when you fall over) and/or goggles (borrow these too), a T-shirt and an old jumper and maybe shorts to wear under the ski pants/salopets - the ski wear is plenty warm enough otherwise. Single piece suits are probably warmer, but they are a b*gger when you have to stop for a pee!
The boots and skis you will get when you get there as part of the package will be fine. Just make sure the boots are 'comfortable' (ski boots are never comfortable, but they should not rub or pinch and they should fit well so your feet don't slide in them - one pair of socks is enough - and still allow you to wiggle your toes). It is worth insisting on this and try on different pairs if you are not entirely happy.
Now stop worrying and have a great time at the ski school.
What is your favorite jump? What's your least favorite?
A bathing suit will be just fine for this kind of winter.Has anyone ever ridden a K2 snowboard? how are they?
I'd go naked. But Im just crazy like that.Is the united states good at olympic curling?
Warm up warm mateI'm with the first two on this one - find a secluded spot and she wears only Chanel No. 5....
But seriously - winter woolies; gloves; bright coloured, waterproof top and leggings; sunglasses and specific insurance policy.
Congrats on the win:)))
Did Joyride go out of business or stop making snowboards?
put a thermos up your jumperFor out on the slopes
-heavy waterproof jacket
-snowpants (a must, unless you want your rear to be all wet) which are preferably not suspendered. Makes it harder to take them off when using the facilities
-heavy waterproof gloves
-lightweight socks
-goggles, to keep the wind out of your face
-hat (extremely important - you lose the majority of your body heat through your head)
-neckgator (usually a piece of fabric that you wear around your neck to pull over your mouth when it gets extremely cold)
For underneath the outside clothes
-a turtleneck
-a vest, if it's gunna be extra cold
-flexible pants (non demin, or any other stiff fabric)
-comfortable undergarments, since you will probably be spending alot of time on your rear the first time out and you dont want anything to get bunched up or anything of the sort
Apree ski (what to wear after skiing, while warming up by the fire
-Sweatpants
-sweatshirt! (keeps you extremely warm after a nice day out on the cold slopes. )
Hope thats a good lil laundry list. :) Rent the boots and skis when you get there. Remember, your ski boots should be snug, but shouldnt pinch you anywhere important, like your achilles or your toes. You should be able to stand up and naturally lean forward in the boot instead of standing straight up and down.
How do I adjust the weight transfer on a skidoo sc 4 suspension?
I've been skiing before but my wife went on her 1st ski holiday last year and loved it. Here is a list that you need to take:Outerwear:
Waterproof ski jacket. (Must have a snowskirt on the inside to stop snow getting in when you fall over)
Waterproof ski pants or sallopettes.
Thick ski gloves (don't buy cheap, your hands get soaked and then they get cold, not good!!)
Fleecy beanie hat
Goggles. (you could wear sports sunglasses, but goggles don't come off when you fall over and have a bigger field of vision)
Underwear:
Thermal long sleeve tops
Thermal long bottoms
Ski socks
Half neck fleece tops (to wear over the thermals, and under the jacket so when you go to a bar on the slopes, you take off your jacket, and look cool!!)
Skiing is ace, my wife (who isn't sporty at all) loved it and we're going again in November!! Once you've been once you'll just want to keep going again and again!!
Word of warning: Skiing aches muscles you never knew you had!! You'll never sleep so good!
I would wear Bermuda shorts with a Bermuda shirt or something hot pink and florescent colours are back.
Or you could listen to MOFO!
