Snowboard Recommendations?

I'm 5'9" 150lbs, but have an 11 size boot. Calculations I've read online say I should have about a 155 length board, but about a 26cm waist, which is mid-wide to wide. I'm a beginner (been boarding 3 times, can make my way down beginner hills fine, just starting to get the S-turns down) so I'm worried about not having control of the board if it's too wide or long. Any recomendations for boards based on my body type? I'm not looking to spend too much (under $300 if possible)

Clothing for snowshoeing?

155 should be perfect..I'm about same size, smaller foot, but run with 154 Morrow..Used Burton rippeys in the past, but Morrow is lighter with more flex...All depends on your binding set up..Goofy or reg. your tips shouldnt extend past side of board..You'll need room when sweeping turns...

What do you wear under snow pants when skiing??

hi, the cheapest board you can get that is ok is around 300. I am 5'8" 148 and have size 10.5. i ride on a 155. it is great. if you get one that is too long, then the sides get fatter and is harder to turn. for more control, smaller board. I was on a budget and got the ride agenda for around 250. thats a good board. um.. burtons are a good starting board and ride, forum, or romes are great. well hope that helps.

How do I do up my snowboard boots?

I'm the same height, but a little heavier than you. I use a 155 and it's perfect for me. I have the same size boot, but ride +18/-18 so I don't really worry about toe or heel overhang. You'll probably be okay, but just have your local shop set up your bindings (make sure to bring in a boot so they can test it), that way you're not catching your toes on the hill all day and wiping out while trying to learn how to link turns.

How do you do boxes and tricks on a snowboard?

a 153 is perfect size get a mid wide, burton and forum make good mid wide board's and I bleive they also Have tons of 153's. Rome also make good boards but those are for more advanced, if you want a board that will last you for now and later when u get better I suggest a Nitro t1, its an excellent board and it wont way you down so its easy to turn, you said your learning s turn's so this is perfect. It will also help when you get better you will be able to fly down the mountain because it is light but have the control you need. This board is I belive under $300 at this website : http://www.the-house.com/9853nit1c6zznit...
