What are the differences between beginner/ intermediate skis?

Answers:

My Dads question?

Really, mostly just the price. There really isn't even a whole huge difference between intermediate and expert skis.

Sure, a few subtle things in the construction...stiffness of the ski, side cut, length. The industry uses the term "forgivable". Example, ski A will be more "forgivable" than ski B. A beginners ski will be more forgivable...easier to recover from slip-ups.
