ski poles are assigned to you based on how tall you are and when your arms are outstretched at right angles to you the ski pole should be turned upside down and you hold on to the spike part

I was told about 5-6 years ago that the proper length for a ski pole should be when you invert the pole (upside down) the pole's tip should just about touch you under your arm pit! This rule will apply regardless of your gender (sex) or abiliity.
