Burton Custom X?
I was browsing the boards for sale at my local board shop and they have an '07 Custom X for 40% off which is pretty amazing. I'm thinking of getting it for my brother. He's a pretty stong snowboarder in his 5th season and we generally do a lot a freeriding but we also spends a good deal of time in the park hitting jumps and just getting into rails. Does anyone know anything about the Custom X in terms of it's flex, pop, edge to edge feel and what type of riding it seems to handle best?

I want to move to the mountains this winter, where should I move?
The Custom X is a stiffer, all mountain freestyle board. It excels under a powerful rider who will push it hard. For freeriding, powder, groomers, pipe, park jumps and big backcountry booters, it's awesome; one of the best really. For rails and stuff, it's doable but it's a bit too stiff torsionally for that in my opinion. For a strong rider who needs a one board to do it all, I love the Custom X but if you brother doesn't have the skills on the rails yet, it might be a tough board to learn to jib on. If you were buying from me I'd probably steer you more in the direction of the Custom and not the Custom X as it is a bit softer and a bit more versatile for park riding. Also, a lot of my friends and customers have been giving amazing praise to the Burton Twin, even as an all mountain board but I have not ridden that one yet; Something to look forward to next year.Is the moon really made from cheese?
