Is you heel suppose to slide while making toe turns snowboarding?
I have been riding for 2 years and have purchased 2 pairs of boots. Both have had the problem of my heel sliding while I make toe turns which forces me to get on my tippy toes and kill my calfs. My toes touch the boot so the foot size shouldn't be a problem unless there is a narrow foot size. Is there anyway of preventing this?

Should I wax my new snowboard before I ride it?
No. I've always had the same problem, and I also went through 2 pairs of boots before I finally found what I needed. I have Northwave boots, which I found to be most narrow (I find K2 is also pretty narrow). My boots also have the Boa system which I found really keeps my feet in a lot better and are super comfy. I did have rachet bindings, but I switched to FLOW bindings which helped a bit... but it's mostly in the boot. Stiffer boots rather than softer boots do help as well, they don't give as much so they're not as comfy walking around, but they do wonders for your riding if you're past the beginner stage. What year did female skaters started wearing over-the-boot tights?
nope.try angling your bindings. it will reduce dragyou have soft boots, and yes it shoul dmove a little bit. I ride all over the world and my boots slip in thehee l all the time. If it really bothers you try using smartwool socks. the heels are padded so they are thicker. Dont rachet your bindings down harder, that will only make the top of your feet hurt
Does anyone know the earliest age a girl figure skater landed a triple jump?
You could try using gel inserts that are typically for shoes. It might help to keep your foot in tighter and reduce the sliding. Pair that with thicker socks and your feet should stay where they belong.More Questions & Answers...
